 Today in class we read pages 122-135. During our reading we had to take notes. We also went over a new project that we are starting for The sorrow of war book. We have to complete a 10 slide power point about any character in the book. School is going well today.

 Today in class we continued to work on our 5 quotes from The Sorrow of war. We had to analysis the quote, determine the theme and The topic of the quote. While reading the book I learned more about what past veterans go through in life after the war. School is going well today.

 Today in class we started reading pages 108 and so on. During the reading we also did an assignment on illuminate. We had to find 20 quotes from what we read and analysis the quote. I learned more interesting things about this story. school is going well.

 Today in class we did group discussions. We were put in a group of four and took notes after every 2 pages we Read in The Sorrow of War. I learned more interesting things about this story. We also had an individual worksheet we had to do while reading along. School is going well.

 

 Today in class we went over our 1 pagers. We had to explain Some quotes we chose, questions and vocabulary. We had to explain our personal connection to the story. We also had to explain what our picture represents. I learned that some of my classmates have really personal connections to this story. School is going well today. 

 Today in class we worked on our 1 pager assignment. This assignment is due tommorow. Today in class i learned how to do a 1 pager. School is going well today.

 Today in class we started going over a new assignment we have to complete. It is called a one pager. Mr Reese went over it and briefly explained our assignment for what we need to do and what it needs to have to get a good grade. I learned what a one pager is because i had previously didn't know that was a thing until today. School is going well.

 Today in class we went over an article about Martin Luther king jr. We watched an interview about him.While watching the interview we had to answer some discussion questions. Something i learned in class is that King faced many obstacles while on his mission for equality. He was arrested over twenty times for protesting. He was the object of several violent attacks, both to his person and his property. He received threatening phone calls, his home was bombed and set afire, and he was even stabbed. School is going well today.

 Today in class we went over a quick summary for pages 8-16. Then we started to read pages 16- 25. Something i learned today is that different people coupe with war effects differently. Not everyone is the same. I learned this through how kien handles his situations and the emotional effects he had through the war. School is going good so far.

 Today in class we went over the sorrow of war. We also watched a 10 minute video about the Vietnam war. We had to write 3 facts about the video. We then went over the book to get ready to read it tomorrow. School is going well today. something i learned today is that the vietnam war lasted from 1955-1975.
